Frequently Asked Questions

Everything sellers commonly ask about InStitch

Is InStitch really free?

Yes. There's no signup, no subscription, and no usage limit. InStitch is a side project built by a fellow seller to solve a shared problem, and it's shared publicly so other sellers don't have to deal with the same daily hassle.

Does InStitch upload my labels or customer data anywhere?

No. Every PDF you upload is processed entirely inside your own browser using JavaScript — nothing is sent to a server. This means customer names, addresses, and order details in your shipping labels never leave your device. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

Which platforms does InStitch support?

Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho shipping labels are all supported, with automatic detection — you don't need to tell InStitch which platform a file came from. See the platform differences guide for how each one is handled.

Can I upload files from multiple platforms at once?

Yes. You can select or drag multiple PDFs together, even if they're a mix of Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho files — InStitch sorts out which pipeline to use for each one automatically.

Does the SKU translation have to be in Hindi?

No — it can be any language, or even just a shorter/simplified English product name. InStitch just looks up whatever text you put next to each SKU in your uploaded sheet and prints it on the label. It's really a general-purpose "note per SKU" feature, not specifically a Hindi translator.

I uploaded my SKU sheet, but no translation showed up. Why?

The most common reason is a mismatch between the SKU exactly as it appears in your CSV and the SKU exactly as it appears in the platform's PDF (extra spaces, different capitalization, or a slightly different SKU code used internally). Double-check the SKU column against what's printed in the "SKU ID" or "SKU" field of the original label.

Will my SKU sheet stay saved if I close the tab?

Yes. Once loaded, your SKU sheet is saved in your browser's local storage on that device, so it's still there the next time you open InStitch — you don't need to re-upload it every session. It's tied to your browser and device though, so it won't automatically appear if you switch to a different phone or computer.

Does InStitch work offline?

Yes, after your first visit. InStitch is a Progressive Web App, meaning your browser caches the app itself so it keeps working without an internet connection. You can even "install" it to your home screen for quicker access.

Can I use InStitch on my phone?

Yes, it works in any modern mobile browser. On iPhone, make sure you're using the "Choose PDF file" button rather than trying to take a photo — InStitch needs the actual PDF file, not an image of it.

Does InStitch modify or remove anything from my original labels?

For Amazon, the invoice pages are separated out and the label is redrawn with your SKU translation and quantity added. For Flipkart and Meesho, the original label is kept fully intact — cropped for Flipkart, whole-page for Meesho — with only a thin translation strip added below it. Nothing on the original label itself (barcode, QR code, address, SKU table) is ever altered.

Something isn't working right — how do I report it?

Email institchindia@gmail.com with a description of what happened. If possible, mention which platform (Amazon/Flipkart/Meesho) and roughly what the label looked like — that helps track down the issue faster.
